Getting the Most Out of Your Team
The traditional team training model has always been ‘forming, storming, norming and performing.’ However in today’s business environment does this really stand up against a changing and dynamic work environment and problems of staff turnover and person progression? It is unusual in modern business for a team to reach the performance stage and stay there without any further development. Whenever the business changes, a new project are taken on, a person leaves there will be a need to start the whole team development process again.
Team coaching is essential to supporting teams through change and progression. A business coach can work with the individuals of a team to form a cohesive working group. Team coaching is excellent in helping the business identify team challenges and facilitates the team working together to resolve them. Each person will have differing work values and a business coach can work with the team so that these work values become similar and therefore facilitate efficient working practices. They are openly discussed and solutions developed within the team.
It speeds up the transition to a performing team benefiting not just one department but the whole business. It can also allow team members who want to progress and excel to develop further and mange again the change and upheaval to the team when this happens.
